Terms of use

Last updated 19 September 2026

This is an interim policy for the closed beta. It is written in-house, not by a lawyer, and will be replaced by a professionally reviewed version before NumberGINN opens to the public. It is not legal advice.

These are the rules for using NumberGINN. By applying for an account you agree to them. They exist so that every dealer on the network can trust what they see — and so that it is clear what NumberGINN does, and what it deliberately leaves to you and the dealer you are trading with.

What NumberGINN is — and is not

NumberGINN is a venue and a software tool: a private inventory system for your own stock, and an opt-in marketplace where you may share selected listings with other members. It is a place to find stock and make contact. It is not a party to any deal between dealers.

In particular, NumberGINN does not: process, hold or escrow any payment; take any commission or fee on a sale; verify that a dealer owns, holds or is authorised to sell any number; verify a listing’s price, operator, circle, portability status or availability; verify any dealer’s identity or credentials; take part in your negotiations; or handle SIM issuance, activation, KYC or number portability. All of that happens between you, the other dealer and the operator, off the platform.

Account approval is an access-control step, not verification. We do not check identity documents, GST certificates or proof of ownership, and approval of an account is not a statement that a dealer’s identity, credentials, stock or authority to sell have been checked. Deal at your own risk and do your own due diligence.

Who can join

NumberGINN is invite-only and for firms that deal in mobile numbers — business users only, not consumers. You must be 18 or older and authorised to act for the firm you register.

Every application is reviewed by a person. We may decline an application, and a declined application is final. One account per firm; keep your sign-in to yourself. You are responsible for everything done from your account, and you must not share, sell or transfer your credentials.

What you may list

  • List only numbers you lawfully hold or are authorised to offer. Listing stock you do not have, or another dealer’s stock as your own, is grounds for removal.
  • Keep listings honest and current. Mark a number RTP only if it is genuinely ready to port, keep NRTP activation dates accurate, and mark a number sold or make it private once it is no longer available.
  • No fake, duplicate, speculative or misleading listings.

How dealing works

NumberGINN records that an enquiry or offer was made; the negotiation and the sale happen directly between the two dealers, on WhatsApp or in person, on terms you agree between yourselves.

We are not a party to any sale, hold no money, and do not guarantee that a listed number is available, transferable, unencumbered or free of dispute, or that its listed price or details are accurate. Confirm everything with the dealer before you commit to a customer.

Conduct and acceptable use

  • Treat other dealers as you would in person. No harassment, spam enquiries, repeated low-ball offers or unrelated solicitation.
  • Do not scrape, crawl, bulk-export or systematically copy other dealers’ listings, build a competing database from the marketplace, or republish marketplace data outside NumberGINN. Doing so is a breach that can cost you access to the network.
  • Do not interfere with the platform’s operation or security, or work around plan limits.
  • Use the Report control for a listing or dealer that breaks these rules, rather than taking it up in public.

Your content, and customer data you upload

Your listings stay yours. You grant NumberGINN a non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, index and process your listing content to run the platform, and to use it in aggregated, de-identified form.

If you record an end customer’s personal details against a number, you confirm you have a lawful basis and any required consent for it, you handle the notices and requests those individuals are owed, and you cover us against claims arising from it.

Ratings and reviews (if introduced)

We may later let dealers rate one another. If we do, ratings must reflect genuine dealings; retaliatory, fabricated, coordinated or paid-for ratings are not allowed; a rated dealer will have a right of reply and a way to challenge an unfair rating; and a rating is not a statement by us that any transaction was verified. We may remove ratings and suspend accounts that abuse the feature.

The free period, and future pricing

NumberGINN is free during the beta. Your access to the platform and your use of it are given in exchange for your agreement to these terms and the content licence above, which apply fully throughout the free period.

We may introduce subscription pricing, plan tiers and feature limits later, on reasonable advance notice. If we do, you may decline and you may export your inventory before any charge takes effect — no charge is ever applied without notice.

Moderation

To keep the network trustworthy, an administrator may hide or remove a listing, restrict an account (you keep your inventory and can browse, but cannot publish or contact other dealers until the restriction is lifted) or suspend an account (access ends and listings come down). Where a reason is recorded you will see it in the app. A restriction is meant to be temporary; serious or repeated breaches lead to suspension.

Availability, liability and indemnity

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We work to keep it accurate and running but do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and it may go into maintenance.

To the extent the law allows, NumberGINN’s total liability to you is capped at the greater of the subscription fees you paid us in the preceding twelve months or ₹10,000, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profit, business, goodwill or data arising from your dealings with other dealers.

You cover NumberGINN against claims arising from your listings, your conduct, your transactions with other dealers, customer data you upload, or your breach of the law or of these terms.

Grievances, changes and governing law

For a complaint, write to our Grievance contact at [email protected]; we aim to acknowledge within 24 hours and resolve within 15 days.

We may update these terms as the network grows; changes that matter are announced by email before they apply, and continuing to use NumberGINN after that means you accept them. NumberGINN may assign this agreement and transfer your account to a successor entity in connection with incorporation, restructuring, merger or sale, without requiring fresh agreement from you.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction. Either of us may end your account; if you close it, your data is handled as the privacy policy describes.
